Sherman Out in Aggieland

Well Mike Sherman got the axe over at TAMU. That is not a surprise. He had a lot of talent to work this this year and the team just did not measure up. Not surprising. I didn't figure him for much. Not the scumbag that Franchione was of course, but he is no R.C. Slocum.

There is speculation that TAMU (along with Arizona State) is interested in Kevin Sumlin. He would be making a huge mistake to mess with either program. ASU will rarely be a force in the PAC 12 and the Aggies will do well to go 6-6 in the SEC. They may have to "schedule down" in their non conference games to pad the stats even to become "bowl eligible. If anyone is going to have any success whatsoever in College Station it needs to be a coach very familiar with the SEC. Yes Sumlin would make a huge mistake messing with those folk in College Station.

It would be nice to see him stay with the Cougars for a while but perhaps it is wise to strike out when hot. Sooner or later there will be a drastic falling off in Houston and he will be stuck or worse.  He could get "Schianoed." If he were to leave to take any job I would like him to make the move to Texas Tech. I am pretty sure that Tuberville will be the next to fall.

He should stay away from Arizona State and most certainly TAMU.
